THE RESULTS ARE IN! TAKE A LOOK AT SOME OF
THE BEST ENTRIES FROM OUR CONTEST AND ADMIRE THE WINNERS FOR YOURSELF.
The team at Senses of
Malaysia are always
looking for new ways
to showcase the
ability of Malaysian
residents as well
as promoting
the beauty of
the country, and what better way, we
decided, than to host a photography
contest?
For the first three months of the
year, eager photographers have been
capturing Malaysia at its most diverse
and glorious, and posting their
pictures onto our Senses of Malaysia
Facebook page.
The photographs that came in were
extraordinary, and the difficult job
was deciding on our winners! The
20 photos with the most "likes"
were placed on the short list and
sent to our panel of judges – three
professional photographers –
who rated the images in terms
of technical ability and how
well the image captured a
"sense" of Malaysia.
Our three
photographer-judges were Matt
Marzuki, Hugh Ujhazy, and
Sanjitpaal Singh, and, thanks to their
input, we are now able to announce our winners.
Norhaslizam bin Hasan picked up the grand prize with his stunning picture entitled
"Here We Come" taken on Gunsungan Island in Sabah. He will be enjoying a two nights'
stay for two people at the Impiana Resort Cherating, as well as a free subscription to the
magazine for two years.
Our two runners up, Muhamad Farhan bin Raja Khalid and Jane
Martin, both picked up RM200 worth of dining vouchers and a year's free subscription to
the magazine for their evocative photos, and all three received the glory of seeing their
fantastic pictures in print!
We must extend a note of sincere thanks to the more than 100 people who entered our
contest and the hundreds more that checked out the pictures and "liked" their favourites.
Congratulations to our winners, and keep your eyes peeled for more of these gorgeous
photographs appearing in the pages of our magazine in the issues to come.

and a passion for travel, and he was
