|Malaysian Photographer Awarded at International Photography Awards
Malaysian photographer, Sanjitpaal Singh wins at the International Photography Awards!
He was awarded second place in Nature-Trees category for his winning entry "Crown of Shyness."
He was also awarded Honourable Mention in Nature-Flowers category for his winning entry 'Dandelion,' and Honourable Mention in Nature-Landscapes category for his winning entry 'Mystic.'
Sanjit is no stranger to awards, in the past, he has received much attention and accolades for his stunning wildlife photographs; he was a semi-finalist for the BBC-Shell Wildlife Photographer of the Year award for two consecutive years and he also picked up the Malaysian One Earth Award in 2009.
Born in Kuala Lumpur, Sanjit is an established Malaysian nature and wildlife photographer. With more than 10 years of experience in photography, Sanjit has pretty much done it all; photo journalism, product shoots, camera reviews, commercial photography and at one point 'anything goes to pay the bills' photographer.
Sanjit was also featured in Senses of Malaysia (March-April 2012), and also helped judge the Senses of Malaysia Photography Contest.
The 2012 International Photography Awards received nearly 18,000 submissions from 104 countries across the globe. IPA is a sister-effort of the Lucie Foundation, where the top three winners are announced at the annual Lucie Awards gala ceremony. The foundation's mission is to honour master photographers, to discover new and emerging talent and to promote the appreciation of photography. Since 2003, IPA has had the privilege and opportunity to acknowledge and recognize contemporary photographer's accomplishments in this specialized and highly visible competition.
