Senses of Malaysia are running their first ever photography contest and we need your best pictures of Malaysia! Whether it is people or buildings, food or nature, we want to see any photograph that captures the beauty and diversity of this marvellous nation and gives us a true sense of Malaysia in all its glory.

How to Enter

1. Take a great photograph of Malaysia

3. Post your picture on the wall with the words SoM Photo Contest and the place it was taken (e.g SoM Photo Contest: Langkawi)

4. ‘Like’ your picture and get your friends to like it too

At the strike of noon on 31 March 2012, the 20 pictures with the most ‘likes’ will make it onto the short-list to be scrutinized by our panel of three professional photographers, who will select a winner and two runners up.

Even if you don’t scoop a prize, the best of the short-listed pictures could appear in the magazine in a glossy double-page spread, plus we may use some of the most dazzling shots throughout the year to accompany our regular features and articles so keep your eyes peeled – you might see your name and picture in the magazine before you know it!

Terms and Conditions:

• This contest is only open to residents of Malaysia, both expats and locals are welcome.

• To be eligible for the contest you must ‘like’ the Senses of Malaysia facebook page.

• Contestants on the shortlist are only eligible for the prize if they can supply a high-resolution copy of their image.

• Photographs must be the contestants own and must be taken in Malaysia.

• Photographs posted on the page must have an accompanying (short) description which must include the phrase ‘SoM Photo Contest’.

• By posting a photograph on the wall for the contest, contestants are giving The Expat Group the right to use the photographs in any of their media channels including the magazines and the websites, although all photographs used in this manner will be credited to the photographer.

• The decision by the judges on the winners is final and no discussion will be entered into.

• No employee of The Expat Group nor any member of the employee’s family are allowed to enter the contest.

• The contest closes on 31 March at 12 noon. Any photographs posted or ‘likes’ added after this time will not be considered.

• Contestants can enter a maximum of three images into the contest.

• The Expat Group reserves the right to remove any photographs we deem inappropriate.
